Freelance Planner Role – Inside IR35 – Long Term Contract
January 2026 start until 2028

Your new company
You will be joining an industry leading contractor within the Civil Engineering industry who work on a large highway maintenance contracts specialising in street lighting, traffic sign and traffic bollard design, pedestrian areas inc installation and maintenance.
Your new role
You will be responsible for reviewing test sheets and work information surveys whilst managing the production, including H&S, handover and other required paperwork. Oversee the installation of the street lighting aspects of highway schemes. You will be using P6 and MS project whilst regularly updating programmes and drafting Clause 31 and Clause 23 submissions.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will have experience working on NEC Highways projects previously as a Planner which will involve the installation and maintenance of pedestrian areas. You will have planned works for this sector. In addition to this, you will be competent using P6 and MS Project as well as be able to produce a programme from first principles.
