We are working on behalf of a world class building consultancy, based in Brentwood, who are looking for a seasoned Senior Architectural Technician to lead their project delivery operations, whilst supporting architectural teams through each phase of development. Our client is offering a permanent position to the individual who possesses the drive and the skill to push a variety of residential and healthcare projects beyond operational excellence, promoting consistent high quality within project delivery.

Responsibilities:

-Monitor the production and development of intricate architectural designs, drawings, specifications, and documentation, across various residential and healthcare projects.

-Ensure all design works and outputs adhere to client requirements and expectations, whilst also complying with industry standards, regulations, and codes.

-Attend regular site visits, inspecting ongoing works, enabling pre-emptive issue identification and resolution, implementing corrective and preventative measures.

-Work alongside professional teams, across various disciplines, ensuring clarity and transparency with project and design plans, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

-Support and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and technical oversight to nurture their professional development, further ensuring consistent best practices.

Requirements:

-Significant demonstrable experience as a Senior Architectural Technician, or a relevant position, guiding project teams across various healthcare and residential projects.

-Strong understanding of UK building standards and regulations, construction codes and practices, and technical detailing, in line with RIBA principles.

-Sound technical background, with an understanding of the use of AutoCAD software, but a proficiency with Revit will be useful at a later stage.

-Profound leadership initiatives, with the ability to arrange site visits and reviews, identify and resolve constructability issues, and ensure design intent adherence.

-Proficient team and stakeholder management, communication, and mentoring skills, with a strong problem-solving mindset, and a drive for business development
