Estimator (Active fire)

Pro-Group Recruitment are delighted to have partnered with a growing fire protection company to recruit a Fire Sprinkler Estimator, on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is a newly created position due to expansion. As the new Fire Sprinkler Estimator, you’ll play a key role in developing accurate project estimates, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the wider team during an exciting period of growth.

Reporting directly to the Director, you’ll have genuine scope to take ownership of the estimating function and progress your career as the business continues to evolve.

The Role

As the Fire Sprinkler Estimator, you will be responsible for producing detailed quotations for wet sprinkler systems across both domestic and commercial environments. You’ll work closely with the design team and project manager to ensure accurate costings and smooth project handover.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare detailed estimates for domestic and commercial wet sprinkler installations

* Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents

* Work closely with the design team to review system layouts and hydraulic information

* Liaise with the project manager to support tender strategy and project delivery

* Support client queries and contribute to competitive, accurate bid proposals

* Assist in improving internal estimating processes as the department grows

About You

We’re looking for someone passionate about fire protection with a solid understanding of sprinkler systems and a desire to develop their estimating career.

You will ideally have:

* Experience with domestic and commercial wet sprinkler systems

* Knowledge of estimating or strong exposure to pricing within fire protection

* OR a design background with some estimating experience and a desire to develop further

* Understanding of hydraulic calculations (advantageous)

* Strong Excel skills

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

* Good communication skills and confidence working with internal teams and clients
