Your new role
As a Site Manager with this contractor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction sites. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion.
- Reviewing project plans and specifications to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Coordinating and supervising construction workers and subcontractors.
- Ensuring adherence to all health and safety standards and reporting any issues.
- Managing the use of construction equipment and machinery.
- Resolving problems and implementing improvements in construction processes.
- Maintaining communication between project managers, site staff, and clients.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to come with proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry. You should have an in-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles, along with strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are crucial. Familiarity with construction and project management software is required, and relevant certifications such as SMSTS, CSCS, SSSTS etc.
