Document Controller
Our London based client a large Architectural practice is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Document Controller to support architectural project teams by managing, tracking, and maintaining all project documentation. This role ensures information is accurate, compliant, and easy for teams and clients to access throughout the project lifecycle.
The Document Controller will maintain a clear system for drawings, specifications, contracts, and other records, ensuring proper version control and timely updates. The role includes distributing documents to project teams, consultants, contractors, and clients, ensuring everyone works from the latest approved information. It also involves monitoring deadlines, producing reports on document status, and managing digital platforms such as Aconex, Procore, BIM 360, or SharePoint. Supporting colleagues in using these systems effectively is also part of the role.
Key skills required:
• Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
• Experience in document control within architecture, engineering, or construction
• Proficiency with electronic document management systems
• Clear and confident communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines under pressure
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Reliability and a collaborative working style
A related qualification in architecture, engineering, construction, or a similar field is beneficial but not essential.
