Project Overview
Construction is underway on a new community building and GP surgery in Exeter, forming the final major infrastructure phase supporting a large residential development on the city’s outskirts. This mixed-use community hub and healthcare facility is part of a £48.6m programme funded by the Government’s Housing Infrastructure Fund to support the delivery of around 2,500 new homes. The GP surgery will be delivered in phases, initially providing six consulting rooms with additional space designed for future NHS expansion. Tilbury Douglas

Role Overview – Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead this high-profile community and healthcare delivery from mobilisation through to completion. You will act as the stand-alone lead on site, owning the programme, quality, HSE and stakeholder engagement while ensuring a smooth delivery that meets client expectations and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Lead overall project delivery, coordinating internal teams, subcontractors and consultants.
*
Manage programme, risk, quality and health & safety across all works.
*
Ensure compliance with contract requirements, planning conditions and client expectations.
*
Coordinate design, procurement and construction activities to maintain programme progress.
*
Prepare and present regular progress reports and commercial updates.
*
Act as the primary interface with client representatives and stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Project Manager on public-sector or community infrastructure projects.
*
Background in complex builds including community, healthcare, education or mixed-use facilities.
*
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
*
Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications.
