A leading multidisciplinary consultancy specialising in cultural, heritage and exhibition projects is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their London-based team. This is a client-focused role ideal for someone with consultancy experience who is passionate about working on one-of-a-kind projects in the arts, cultural and museum sectors.

This opportunity would suit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with around 1 year of consultancy or client-side experience who is now looking to grow their skills across both pre and post contract stages. The company delivers projects across the UK and internationally, offering excellent long-term career development, including support through APC.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support senior members of the commercial team on a range of complex and bespoke projects, often involving major exhibition fit-outs, gallery refurbishments and cultural venue redevelopments.

You will be involved in preparing cost plans, analysing contractor proposals, maintaining cost reports, assisting with procurement, and supporting change management processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing cost estimates, cost plans and procurement documentation
Support the preparation of monthly cost reports and cashflow forecasts
Aid in the assessment of contractor and consultant payment applications
Help with managing tender processes and evaluating bids
Assist in the administration of building contracts and professional appointments
Work collaboratively with the wider project management and design teamsAssistant Quantity Surveyor – Candidate Requirements

Circa 1 year experience within a consultancy or client-side environment
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (RICS accredited)
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Some experience with cost planning and reporting
A genuine interest in the arts, cultural or heritage sectors
Working towards MRICS is beneficialIn Return

Salary of £35,000 – £40,000 (dependent on experience)
25 days annual leave + bank holidays
