A highly respected, multi-disciplinary construction and property consultancy is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their established London team. This opportunity would suit a Project Manager with a strong commercial background who is looking to further their career within a professional consultancy environment. The appointed Project Manager will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality commercial schemes across London, working closely with blue-chip clients and senior stakeholders.

This consultancy continues to grow its Project Management offering due to an expanding pipeline of commercial work. As a result, they are looking to appoint a Project Manager who can take ownership of projects, manage consultant teams, and contribute to the long-term success of the business.

The Project Manager Role

The successful Project Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of commercial construction projects, from early feasibility through to completion and handover. Projects are predominantly commercial in nature and vary in size and complexity, offering the Project Manager excellent exposure to both refurbishment and new build schemes within London.

This role provides genuine autonomy, client-facing responsibility, and a clear route for progression for a Project Manager who wants to develop within a structured and well-regarded consultancy.

Duties of the Project Manager to include:

Leading the day-to-day delivery of commercial projects as the appointed Project Manager

Acting as the main point of contact for clients, managing relationships and expectations throughout the project lifecycle

Managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary consultant teams across all RIBA stages

Overseeing design development, ensuring solutions meet commercial, programme and quality requirements

Administering building contracts and consultant appointments in line with agreed procurement strategies

Monitoring progress against the project programme and cost plan, identifying and managing risk

Chairing project, design team and contractor meetings, issuing actions and driving delivery

Preparing and issuing regular client reports covering programme, cost, risk and quality

Liaising with key stakeholders including developers, funds, occupiers, local authorities and statutory bodies

The Person?

The successful Project Manager will have a proven track record of delivering commercial construction projects within a consultancy or client-facing environment. The Project Manager will fit the following profile:

Demonstrable experience as a Project Manager on commercial projects

Consultancy-based Project Management experience preferred

Strong understanding of contract administration and procurement routes

Commercially astute with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Confident communicator, capable of leading consultant teams and interfacing with senior clients

Organised, professional and able to manage multiple workstreams

Working towards, or already holding, a relevant professional qualification (RICS, APM or similar)
