Document Controller (M&E)

I am currently working alongside one of the UK’s leading M&E contractors, who have asked me to assist in their search for a Document Controller (M&E) to join their team on a project based in London. My client specialises in delivering high‑profile Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) and infrastructure projects across the UK.

Document Controller (M&E) responsibilities:

Managing, controlling, and issuing all project documentation in line with company procedures

*

Ensuring drawings and documents are correctly uploaded, tracked, and distributed

*

Maintaining accurate document registers and revision control

*

Liaising with engineers, subcontractors, and the project team to ensure timely document flow

*

Supporting M&E teams with document control requirements

*

Ensuring compliance with project and client documentation standards

*

Assisting with audits and handover documentation

*

Reporting to the project management team

Document Controller (M&E) requirements:

*

Previous experience as a Document Controller within construction or M&E projects

*

Strong knowledge of document control systems (e.g. Aconex, Viewpoint, Asite, 4Projects)

*

Excellent organisational and time‑management skills

*

High attention to detail and accuracy

*

Confident using Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel

*

Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
