Quantity Surveyor
A forward-thinking London-based development consultancy, renowned for delivering bespoke high-end residential schemes, is currently seeking a talented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their client-side team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a range of prestigious residential developments, supporting commercial delivery from concept through to completion.
With projects located across some of London's most sought-after postcodes, this consultancy is looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a solid background in high-end or prime residential work, able to manage project finances and ensure clear cost control at every stage.
The Quantity Surveyor Role
The successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing cost plans, producing monthly reports, supporting tender and procurement processes, and overseeing contract administration. You'll work closely with project managers, consultants, and clients to provide sound commercial guidance and ensure the best value is delivered across each project.
This role is suited to a confident and detail-focused Quantity Surveyor who thrives in a fast-paced, design-led residential environment.
Quantity Surveyor – Key Responsibilities
Prepare, manage, and update cost plans & estimates across projects
Produce and maintain development cost reports to be issued monthly to clients
Lead procurement and tender analysis of contractors and consultants
Manage change control processes and cost forecasting
Support contract administration and negotiation of building contracts
Provide commercial input during design development stagesQuantity Surveyor – Candidate Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within a consultancy or client-side environment
Strong pre and post contract knowledge
High-end or prime residential experience is highly desirable
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-orientated environment
Familiar with JCT contracts and London-based projects
RICS accredited degree or equivalent (MRICS preferred but not essential)
Excellent communication and commercial reporting skillsIn Return
Salary of £50,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)
