Project Manager
A highly regarded, independent construction consultancy is currently seeking an ambitious Project Manager to join their growing London team. This role would suit a Project Manager with between 3 and 6 years' experience who is keen to develop within a commercially focused environment. The successful Project Manager will work closely with senior colleagues while taking real ownership of projects, and this Project Manager will gain exposure to a diverse range of high-quality schemes across London.
This consultancy is known for its collaborative approach, strong commercial understanding, and close-knit team culture. Due to continued growth and repeat client instructions, they are now looking to appoint a Project Manager who wants responsibility, variety, and a clear progression path within a modern, forward-thinking consultancy.
The Project Manager Role
The appointed Project Manager will be involved in the delivery of projects from early stages through to completion, working alongside experienced Directors and Associates. Projects span multiple sectors and are delivered for repeat clients, offering the Project Manager excellent exposure and the chance to broaden both technical and client-facing skills.
This is an ideal role for a Project Manager who wants to step away from rigid corporate structures and instead work in an environment where performance, attitude, and contribution are genuinely recognised.
Duties of the Project Manager to include:
Supporting and leading the delivery of projects as the appointed Project Manager
Managing projects through feasibility, design, procurement, construction and handover
Coordinating multi-disciplinary consultant teams and contractors
Assisting with the preparation and management of project programmes and risk registers
Monitoring progress on site and reporting to senior team members and clients
Chairing project and design team meetings, issuing clear actions
Supporting contract administration duties and procurement processes
Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication
Identifying risks and opportunities and escalating where appropriate
Ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed quality, programme and commercial objectives
The Person?
The successful Project Manager will be motivated, commercially aware, and keen to progress their career within a consultancy environment. The Project Manager will ideally demonstrate:
3 to 6 years' experience working as a Project Manager within construction or consultancy
Experience working in a client-facing role
Strong organisational and communication skills
A good understanding of construction processes and project delivery
The confidence to manage elements of projects with appropriate senior support
A proactive and professional approach
Working towards, or interested in pursuing, a professional qualification such as RICS or APM
