Bid Manager

Abatec is currently recruiting for an experienced Bid Manager to join a highly respected, multi-award-winning regional civil engineering contractor, who are industry recognised for successfully delivering some of the most challenging, and diverse projects.

The business is widely regarded as one of the busiest and most respected civil engineering contractors in the region, with a strong reputation for delivering industry-leading highways and rail infrastructure projects across the South West and Wales.

This is a key appointment within the organisation, responsible for leading, managing and winning tender opportunities, while providing clear leadership and direction to the bid / pre construction team, to ensure consistently high standards of quality, compliance, and timely submission of bids and tenders.

Reporting to the Head of Pre-Construction you will play a pivotal role in bidding and winning work.

As Bid Manager you will:

* Be responsible for writing and coordinating bid submissions with accurate and up to date information and deliver proposals to required deadlines.

* Manage tender documentation.

* Complete PQQ’s.

* Track bid/tender releases and source business opportunities via specific websites.

* Assist in the bid structure, using market intelligence and best practise to create winning bids.

Our client requires a Bid Manager with:

* HND/Degree qualified (ideally)

* Experience of working within the Civil Engineering sector

* Excellent written/verbal communication skills

* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Salary/Benefits:

* £80,000 – £90,000 per annum

* Company vehicle, car allowance

* Hybrid working.
