Freelance Site Manager

Live Environment – HMP Prison Experience required **

We require a Freelance Site Manager, who will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of works across multiple live areas within an operational HMP prison. The role requires a proactive, hands-on Site Manager with strong experience in construction and fire safety improvements, ensuring works are delivered safely, securely, and to programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day site activities across multiple live prison areas

Take direct responsibility for fire safety improvements, including builders’ work and fire door installations

*

Maintain full compliance with health & safety, fire safety, and prison regulations

*

Coordinate labour, subcontractors, and liaison with prison authorities

*

Drive site productivity through a visible, hands-on presence on site

Working Hours:

*

7:00am – 5:00pm

Essential Requirements:

*

Valid CSCS Card

*

SMSTS certification

*

First Aid qualification

*

Proven Site Manager experience within construction

*

Strong background in fire safety works, including fire doors and associated builders’ work

*

Previous experience working in a live HMP prison environment (essential)

*

Hands-on approach with a strong on-site presence
