Contract Manager
The Role
Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor operating across the North West, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple civil engineering and groundworks projects. The projects will be mainly be based in the North West but the company does operate nationwide so will involve travel at times.
This is a key senior position responsible for managing contracts from pre-start through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple civil engineering and groundworks contracts across the region
Oversee site teams, subcontractors and supply chain performance
Administer contracts (JCT / NEC where applicable), including variations and final accounts
Programme planning, progress monitoring and cost control
Ensure full compliance with health & safety, quality and environmental standards
Review RAMS, issue permits and ensure safe systems of work
Client, consultant and stakeholder liaison
Drive value engineering and cost efficiencies
Support commercial teams with valuations and reporting
Resolve technical, commercial and programme challengesRequirements
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within civil engineering / groundworks
Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
Experience managing multiple projects and site teams
Solid understanding of cost control, variations and subcontract management
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
SMSTS and CSCS (Gold or Black) preferred
Full UK driving licenceWhat's on Offer
