Chartered Building Surveyor

Location: Glasgow
Salary: £44,000-£52,000Our client is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor responsible for delivering a wide range of building surveying services and supporting asset management activities across a diverse property portfolio. This role involves project delivery, contract administration, and providing professional advice to stakeholders.

Day-to-day of the role:

Conduct building surveys, schedules of condition, dilapidations, feasibility studies, and valuations.
Prepare and manage planned maintenance programmes and stock condition ratings.
Administer projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with budget, programme, and quality standards.
Support asset management initiatives, including sustainability and energy performance improvements.
Prepare accurate reports and provide specialist advice to inform decision-making.
Ensure compliance with health and safety and risk management procedures.
Procure services and manage contractors to achieve best value.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Chartered status (MRICS) and commitment to CPD.
Proven experience in building surveying across non-domestic assets.
Strong negotiation, communication, and report-writing skills.
Knowledge of statutory and legislative requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project planning tools desirable.
Full driving licence.Desirable:

Experience with BIM/CAD, public sector procurement, and mentoring junior staff.
