The Client and Project Info:

My client is a leading M&E Contractor who are currently recruiting a Mechanical Project Manager to deliver a large commercial development in Sunderland. The project involves managing a substantial mechanical package from pre-construction through to completion.

Mechanical Project Manager Responsibilities:

Taking responsibility for the delivery of the mechanical package on a large commercial project.

*

Managing site teams, supervisors, and mechanical subcontractors.

*

Overseeing programme, quality, and health & safety performance.

*

Coordinating design development, technical submissions, and procurement.

*

Working closely with the client, consultants, and internal commercial teams.

*

Managing QA processes, commissioning, and handover documentation.

*

Identifying and resolving technical, programme, and delivery risks.

*

Attending progress, design, and client meetings.

Mechanical Project Manager Requirements:

*

Proven experience delivering mechanical packages on large commercial developments.

*

Background working for an M&E or Mechanical Contractor.

*

Mechanical trade or engineering qualification.

*

SMSTS or equivalent.

*

Strong technical knowledge of building services.

*

Excellent communication and organisational skills.
