Site Agent

We are recruiting a Site Agent to support a major nuclear defence programme based in Plymouth. This is a high-profile, long-term project delivering a brand new dock within a secure, regulated environment.

The successful candidate will come from a strong civil engineering background and will play a key role in managing and coordinating multiple subcontractors on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, and in full compliance with nuclear and defence standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day site management for a large civil engineering package within a nuclear defence environment

*

Oversight and coordination of multiple subcontractors and interfaces

*

Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards

*

Implementing and maintaining high standards of health, safety, security, and environmental compliance

*

Working closely with the Project Manager, client, and stakeholders to manage progress, risks, and change

*

Reviewing RAMS, permits, and ensuring adherence to site procedures

*

Reporting on progress, programme, and performance

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Site Agent or similar role on major civil engineering projects

*

Strong background in civil engineering, ideally on complex or highly regulated projects

*

Experience managing multiple contractors and subcontractors

*

Valid BPSS, SC, or DV clearance (or eligibility and willingness to obtain)

*

Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills

*

CSCS card; SMSTS preferred
