A specialist residential-focused construction consultancy is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Manchester team. This opportunity would suit a Project Manager with a strong background in residential developments who is looking to further their career within a consultancy environment. The successful Project Manager will take responsibility for delivering high-quality residential schemes, working closely with private clients, developers, and consultant teams.

This consultancy has built a strong reputation for delivering residential projects across the region, ranging from high-end private residential through to larger residential developments. Due to continued growth and repeat client instructions, they are now looking to appoint a Project Manager who can take ownership of projects and grow within the business.

The Project Manager Role

The appointed Project Manager will be responsible for delivering residential projects from early design stages through to completion. Projects may include new build residential schemes, refurbishments, and high-end private residential works, requiring a Project Manager who understands residential construction detail and client expectations.

This role offers the Project Manager strong client exposure, responsibility for consultant teams, and structured support towards professional development and progression.

Duties of the Project Manager to include:

Leading the day-to-day delivery of residential projects as the appointed Project Manager

Managing projects from feasibility, design development, procurement, construction, and handover

Acting as the main point of contact for clients, developers, and stakeholders

Coordinating and managing multi-disciplinary consultant teams

Managing project programmes, risk registers, and reporting requirements

Chairing project, design team, and site meetings

Overseeing contractor performance against programme, cost, and quality benchmarks

Supporting procurement strategies and contract administration

Ensuring projects are delivered in line with statutory and regulatory requirements

Maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction

The Person?

The successful Project Manager will have experience delivering residential projects within a consultancy or client-facing environment. The Project Manager will ideally demonstrate:

Proven experience working as a Project Manager on residential projects

Strong understanding of residential construction processes

Experience working directly with private clients or residential developers

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

A proactive, organised, and professional approach

Working towards chartership or already chartered (RICS, APM, or similar)

A genuine interest in progressing within a residential-focused consultancy
