Contracts Manager (Passive Fire)

My client is a £100m turnover multi-disciplinary contractor seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join its Fire Protection division. This is a senior role offering the opportunity to manage high-value passive fire protection packages across a diverse portfolio of projects.
You will take full responsibility for the delivery of passive fire protection works, with a strong focus on firestopping. This includes managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring works are delivered safely, compliantly, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Firestopping works will typically include:

Penetration sealing (walls and floors)
*
Batt and mastic systems
*
Firestopping compounds and mortars
*
Intumescent sealants, collars, wraps, and sleeves
*
Service penetrations, linear gaps, and cavity barriers
*
Compliance with relevant third-party certifications and manufacturer systems
Projects span multiple sectors, including Commercial, Healthcare, Ministry of Justice (MOJ), and Residential, with sites located throughout London and the South East.
Key Responsibilities

Managing end-to-end delivery of passive fire protection contracts
*
Overseeing site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
*
Ensuring full compliance with fire safety standards, specifications, and test evidence
*
Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
*
Commercial oversight, including budgets, variations, and cost control
*
Regular site visits, with office and hybrid working balance
About You
*
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within passive fire protection
*
Strong, hands-on knowledge of firestopping systems and installation practices
*
Experience delivering projects across multiple construction sectors
*
Excellent understanding of compliance, QA, and certification requirements
*
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
*
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
