This role is critical in ensuring that passive fire protection (PFP) systems are installed, inspected, and maintained in accordance with current legislation, third-party certification schemes, and recognised industry standards.

You will carry out technical audits across a variety of sectors, supporting quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement within passive fire protection works.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct technical audits of passive fire protection installations, including fire stopping, fire doors, and compartmentation
Assess compliance against relevant standards, manufacturer specifications, and certification scheme requirements
Produce clear, accurate, and professional audit reports with findings, evidence, and recommendations
Identify non-conformances and work with contractors and internal teams to support corrective actions
Keep up to date with changes in legislation, guidance, and best practice within passive fire protection

Essential Requirements

Proven experience within passive fire protection, fire stopping, or fire safety inspection/auditing
Strong technical understanding of PFP systems and installation methods
Familiarity with relevant standards, guidance, and third-party certification schemes
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to produce clear, concise technical reports
Confident communicator with a professional and objective approach

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

Third-party accreditation or auditor training within fire protection or construction quality
Background in site inspection, quality assurance, or compliance auditing
Experience auditing under recognised fire protection schemes
Knowledge of building regulations and fire safety legislation
