A well-established specialist contractor working across complex structural and steelwork projects is seeking an experienced Document Controller to join its team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical, fast-paced project environment and enjoys bringing structure and clarity to large volumes of documentation.

The Role
You will oversee the flow of drawings, technical documents, specifications, and quality records across multiple live projects, ensuring information is accurate, controlled, and available to project, design, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

Manage incoming and outgoing drawings, technical documents, and project information.

*

Maintain document registers, naming conventions, and robust version control.

*

Distribute information to internal teams and supply chain partners while tracking revisions.

*

Support design, engineering, and project teams with document queries and compliance requirements.

*

Assist with O&M manuals, QA documentation, and project handover packs.

*

Ensure all information complies with company standards and client expectations.

About You

*

Previous document control experience within construction, steelwork, engineering, or similar technical environments.

*

Familiar with document control platforms such as Asite, 4Projects, Viewpoint, SharePoint, or equivalent.

*

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.

*

Confident managing multiple workflows and coordinating with varied internal and external stakeholders.

*

Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems quickly.
