Quantity Surveyor

Synergy Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor – Residential New Build & Conversion Project (Near Portsmouth, Hampshire)

A respected regional developer is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a mixed residential new build and conversion project near Portsmouth, Hampshire. This is a 15‑month direct contract with the client, offering a key commercial role on a high‑quality scheme.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

Managing commercial duties from procurement through to final accounts

*

Preparing and reviewing cost plans, valuations, and financial reports

*

Procuring subcontractors and managing ongoing commercial relationships

*

Monitoring project costs, variations, and contractual compliance

*

Working closely with the Site and Project Management teams to ensure financial control

*

Working within a team of Surveyors and reporting to a Senior Quantity Surveyor based on site

*

Supporting the client with accurate forecasting and cost‑to‑complete analysis

About You

You’ll excel in this role if you:

Have proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on residential projects

*

Understand the commercial demands of both new build and conversion schemes

*

Are confident managing procurement, cost control, and contract administration

*

Bring strong analytical skills and a proactive, detail‑driven approach

*

Communicate clearly and build strong working relationships with project teams and subcontractors

Package & Contract

*

15‑month direct contract with the client

*

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000, depending on experience

*
