Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Our client is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is motivated, driven, and keen to progress their career within a supportive and forward-thinking commercial team.

You will be working predominantly across live projects in the Essex region within the Industrial Sector, with occasional visits. This is a hybrid role.

The Role

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be reporting directly to a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will play a pivotal role on a £20m Industrial Scheme in Chelmsford, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial delivery of projects, helping to maximise profitability and ensure strong cost control.

Key responsibilities include:

* Assisting with procurement, including analysing and comparing subcontractor quotations

* Supporting contract administration duties

* Tracking and reporting project costs

* Preparing valuations, forecasts, and commercial reports

* Monitoring variations, changes, and commercial risks

* Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor with day-to-day commercial management
