Site Engineer – Main Contractor – Central London

About the Role

As Site Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered accurately and efficiently in accordance with approved construction drawings and technical details. The role includes mentoring and supporting Junior Engineers, managing the quality assurance process, coordinating and monitoring materials, and maintaining accurate site diaries and project records.

Responsibilities

* Accurately set out all site works in accordance with construction drawings and specifications.

* Review and coordinate information across design disciplines to identify clashes, inconsistencies, or discrepancies.

* Raise and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) with the design team as required.

* Understand, implement, and work to the construction programme.

* Monitor all project materials and maintain effective control of site stock levels.

* Manage quality delivery in line with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).

* Develop a detailed understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.

* Supervise, support, and mentor Junior Engineers.

* Carry out material take-offs and measurement of completed works.

* Monitor site productivity and outputs against programme requirements.

* Call off materials in line with programme and site needs.

* Manage and compile as-built and handover documentation.

* Understand and comply with all site HSEQ requirements, including daily briefings, task briefings (TBT), LOLER, PUWER, and site inspections.

* Effectively organise tasks and allocate work to operatives and subcontractors.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including photographs and site diaries.

* 3 day first aid

* Asbestos awareness

* AutoCAD

* Detailed technical knowledge of construction methodologies

* Good communication abilities

Experience

* Proven technical abilities

* Strong organisational skills

* Understanding of Health, Safety, Quality and environmental issues relevant to the project environment.

* Sufficient experience required in the construction industry
