The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role within the regional Commercial team, working closely with project delivery teams to ensure robust commercial control from pre-construction through to final account.
Reporting directly to the Regional Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of one or multiple projects depending on size and complexity, acting as the commercial lead and supporting the wider commercial strategy for the region.
This role will involve a mix of site-based and office-based work, providing exposure to live projects and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Full commercial management of projects from procurement to final account
Preparation, management and negotiation of subcontract packages
Administration of contracts under NEC and JCT frameworks
Monthly cost reporting, forecasting and earned value analysis
Management of valuations, variations, certificates and accruals
Supporting project teams to achieve commercial and programme targets
Ensuring compliance with company procedures and commercial best practice
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and supply chain
About You
Experience & Skills
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor with a Main Contractor
Strong understanding of JCT and NEC contracts
Sound knowledge of construction law and commercial risk management
Experience working on multi-disciplinary construction projects
Confident managing subcontractors and commercial reporting processes
Strong IT and reporting skills
