Piling Design Engineer

Our client, a well-established and respected specialist contractor, is currently seeking an experienced Piling Design Engineer to join their team based in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a growing business delivering piling and foundation solutions across a diverse range of projects.

The Role
As a Piling Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of piling solutions, working closely with internal teams, clients, and site personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant designs.

Key Responsibilities

Design piling solutions including CFA and mini-piles, and associated foundations

Carry out geotechnical and structural design calculations in accordance with current standards and codes

Interpret site investigation reports and develop appropriate foundation solutions

Prepare and check design calculations, drawings, and technical reports

Provide technical support to site and construction teams during project delivery

Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure design requirements are met

Contribute to value engineering and alternative design proposals where appropriate

Candidate Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent)

Proven experience in piling or foundation design

Strong working knowledge of Eurocodes and relevant British Standards

Experience using industry-standard design software such as Wallap, Oasys, Plaxis, or similar

Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Full UK driving licence
