Health & Safety Lead – Data Centre Project (Finland)
€100,000 – €110,000 + Rotation + Accommodation + Travel + €1,000 Net Living Allowance

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Lead to join a leading European contractor delivering a large-scale, mission-critical data centre project in Finland. This is a senior, site-based leadership role with full accountability for Health & Safety performance across a complex, multi-discipline construction environment.
You will form part of the core project leadership team, working closely with construction, engineering, and commissioning leads to ensure safety is fully embedded into planning, sequencing, and execution from groundworks through to final commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
* Take full ownership of the project Health & Safety strategy and ensure consistent implementation across site.
* Act as the senior H&S authority, interfacing with client representatives, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
* Drive a proactive, behaviour-based safety culture with visible leadership on site.
* Oversee high-risk construction activities including lifting operations, HV works, confined spaces, and work at height.
* Review, approve, and challenge RAMS, method statements, and permit-to-work systems.
* Lead audits, inspections, and formal incident investigations.
* Manage, mentor, and develop H&S Managers and Advisors.
* Provide detailed reporting on KPIs, trends, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
* 8–10+ years’ Health & Safety experience on large-scale construction projects.
* Background in data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial, or major infrastructure projects preferred.
* Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence senior construction teams.
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
