Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing Cardiff
Permanent Position
Up to £45,000 per annum

We are working with a social housing provider who is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a varied programme of planned and reactive works across their housing stock.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects, supporting cost control and commercial management from inception through to completion.

Scope of WorksProjects may include:

Kitchens & Bathrooms (K&Bs)

Day-to-day and planned disrepairs

Fire damage reinstatement works

Fire door installation programmes

Fire sprinkler installation works

BISF – External Wall Insulation (EWI) projects

Multi-storey flat refurbishment programmes

Key Responsibilities
Commercial management of multiple social housing workstreams

Preparing and managing budgets, cost plans, and forecasts

Valuations, variations, and final accounts

Managing subcontractor payments and commercial performance

Supporting procurement and contract administration

Liaising with operational, technical, and client-side teams

Ensuring cost control and value for money across all projects

About You
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within social housing or maintenance frameworks

Experience across planned works, refurbishments, or reactive maintenance

Knowledge of fire safety–related works (desirable)

Strong commercial and cost management skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Right to work in the UK
