Senior Quantity Surveyor
Senior Quantity Surveyor
Permanent
Glasgow
I’m working with a well-established residential developer that delivers high-quality, design-led housing through long-term partnerships across the Central Belt.
This is a role suited to someone who enjoys being properly involved in a project from start to finish, not just managing numbers from a distance. You’ll have autonomy, trust, and the backing of a commercial structure that values consistency, relationships and doing things the right way.
The role:
Commercial management of residential projects from pre-contract through to final account
Cost control, procurement and subcontractor management
Preparation and agreement of valuations, variations and final accounts
Working closely with site, design and client teams to ensure commercial performance
Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required
What they’re looking for:
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within residential construction
Strong understanding of cost control and subcontractor procurement
Comfortable working in a partnership or framework-style environment
Commercially astute, but pragmatic and relationship-focused
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (or equivalent experience)
Why this one’s worth a look:
Stable, long-term workload rather than boom-and-bust projects
A business that values relationships, not just margins
Supportive commercial leadership and realistic workloads
Competitive salary, car allowance, bonus and benefits
If you’re a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a role where you’re trusted to do your job properly and be part of a team that works collaboratively rather than combatively, this could be a very good fit.
