Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing

Location: Oldham & surrounding areas

We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial delivery on a major public-sector social housing contract. This role involves overseeing cost control, subcontractor procurement, and payment management across multiple live sites, ensuring strong commercial governance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage commercial aspects of social housing works
Procure and appoint subcontractors
Administer payments, valuations, and final accounts
Forecast costs, manage budgets, and report financially
Handle variations, change control, and cost recovery
Ensure compliance with public-sector requirements
Collaborate with site teams and clients to mitigate riskEssential Skills & Experience:

Proven Quantity Surveyor experience in construction or maintenance
Strong subcontractor procurement and payment management background
Exposure to social housing or public-sector frameworks
Commercial acumen and ability to manage multiple workstreams
Confident communicator and IT-literateDesirable:

Experience in social housing refurbishment or maintenance
Familiarity with eVision or similar systems
Previous work on long-term public-sector frameworksWorking Pattern: Site-based preferred, hybrid considered.
