A well-established UK-based multidisciplinary consultancy with over 1,000 staff across multiple offices is making a significant investment in growing its Sustainability and Building Performance capability in London and the South East.
To support this, the business has recently brought in senior sustainability and building services leaders from some of the UK's leading consultancies. The Sustainability team in London is now entering an exciting growth phase and is looking to appoint an Associate Sustainability Consultant to play a key role in shaping its future.
The Role
This is a senior, influential position with a strong focus on Whole Life Carbon (WLC) and Building Physics, both identified as core growth areas for the London team.
You will act as a technical and project lead, working closely with clients and design teams, while also contributing to the strategic growth of the sustainability offering.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the delivery of Whole Life Carbon assessments and Building Physics services across a range of projects.
Providing strategic advice on low-carbon and performance-led design from early concept through to delivery.
Acting as a key client-facing consultant, managing multiple projects and building long-term relationships.
Supporting work-winning and business development through bids, proposals and client engagement.
Collaborating closely with other disciplines within the business to cross-pollinate skills, knowledge and opportunities.
Mentoring and supporting junior team members as the sustainability team grows.
About You
Proven experience delivering Whole Life Carbon and/or Building Physics services within a consultancy environment.
Comfortable operating at Associate level, leading projects and engaging directly with clients.
Strong understanding of low-carbon design, building performance and sustainability strategy.
Experience contributing to business development and client growth.
A collaborative mindset with an interest in helping to build and shape a growing team.
Experience across other sustainability disciplines (e.g. BREEAM, ESG, climate resilience or adaptation) is welcomed but not essential.
