We are currently working with a number of well-established contractors and developers who are looking to appoint experienced Design Managers to deliver industrial construction projects across London and regional UK locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Design Manager with a strong background in industrial schemes to join growing teams with secure pipelines of work.

The Role

As Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design process from pre-construction through to project delivery, ensuring designs are coordinated, compliant, and commercially viable.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing and coordinating the design process on industrial projects

Leading design teams, consultants, and subcontractors

Reviewing and managing design information to ensure buildability and programme alignment

Driving value engineering and risk mitigation

Ensuring compliance with current building regulations and client requirements

Supporting tender and pre-construction activities where required

Requirements

To be considered, candidates must have:

Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager

Essential: demonstrable experience delivering industrial schemes

Strong technical knowledge of construction and design coordination

Experience working with main contractors or developers

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to manage multiple design packages and deadlines
