Senior Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre Project (Dublin 15, Ireland)
€110,000 – €115,000 + Bonus + Pension + Healthcare + Career Progression
An experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to join a major data centre construction project in Dublin 15. This is a senior, site-based commercial role with responsibility for the full commercial lifecycle of the project, from procurement and cost control through to final accounts and client engagement.
You will act as a key commercial lead on a technically complex, fast-paced data centre build, working closely with the Project Director, construction teams, and subcontractors to ensure commercial performance, contractual compliance, and successful project delivery.
This role offers long-term project stability in Ireland, exposure to large-scale mission-critical infrastructure, and clear progression opportunities within a growing data centre delivery business.
Key Responsibilities
* Take full commercial ownership of assigned work packages from tender through to final account
* Measure works from drawings, specifications, and site records and apply appropriate rates
* Lead procurement activities, including tendering, subcontract negotiation, and contract award
* Manage the project budget in line with direction from the Project Director
* Prepare accurate monthly cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections
* Administer subcontractor accounts, including interim valuations, variations, and final account agreements
* Manage and maintain effective client commercial relationships
* Attend and lead monthly commercial meetings with clients and subcontractors
* Identify, prepare, and submit claims, variations, and contractual notices in line with contract requirements
* Document and manage all cost changes to project scope
* Resolve commercial disputes professionally and efficiently
* Support commercial strategy and provide guidance to junior members of the commercial team
* Ensure all commercial documentation is maintained in line with internal procedures and audit requirements
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
* 8+ years’ experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar role
* Strong background in large-scale construction projects (data centres, MEP, commercial, pharmaceutical, or industrial projects preferred)
* Proven experience managing complex subcontract packages and project budgets
* Strong understanding of contract administration and change management
* Excellent commercial awareness with strong negotiation skills
* Highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and senior stakeholders
* Previous data centre experience is highly advantageous but not essential
