Electrical Design Engineer – Data Centre Projects (Dublin, Ireland)
€80,000 – €95,000 + Bonus + Benefits Package

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a specialist data centre design consultancy supporting hyperscale and mission-critical projects across Europe. This role offers strong technical exposure, design ownership, and progression within a high-performing engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical designs from concept through IFC for data centre projects.
• Design LV/MV systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, earthing, lighting, and power distribution.
• Coordinate designs with mechanical, CSA, BIM, and commissioning teams.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, reports, and technical submissions.
• Respond to RFIs and support construction teams during installation and commissioning.
• Review vendor technical submissions and ensure compliance with design intent.
• Attend design workshops, technical reviews, and client meetings.
• Support site activities where required to resolve design and installation issues.

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience in electrical design engineering.
• Proven data centre experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of critical power systems and redundancy strategies.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and design calculation software.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
