Associate Quantity Surveyor
A well-established, multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering complex commercial, residential and public sector projects is seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Surrey. This is a client-facing role suited to a confident and experienced Associate Quantity Surveyor who thrives in a consultancy environment and is ready to take a lead role on major developments across the South East.
This opportunity would suit an Associate Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in pre and post contract delivery, team leadership and client management. You'll be working across a broad range of project types, including residential, education, healthcare and commercial developments, with values typically ranging from £5m-£100m.
As an Associate Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee a small team of surveyors and play a key role in business development, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors and design teams. This role offers a clear path to Director level for the right individual.
Associate Quantity Surveyor – Key Responsibilities
Lead cost management services across multiple projects
Manage client relationships and act as main commercial contact
Oversee and support junior quantity surveyors and APC candidates
Produce cost plans, tender documents, evaluations and contract reports
Attend site visits, project meetings and client presentations
Ensure commercial processes are delivered to the highest standardAssociate Quantity Surveyor – Candidate Requirements
Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a UK consultancy setting
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a RICS-accredited subject
MRICS chartered (or working towards)
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
In-depth knowledge of both pre and post contract stagesIn Return
Salary of £70,000 – £85,000 (dependent on experience)
