Quantity Surveyor
A well-established, international construction consultancy known for delivering large-scale commercial and mixed-use developments is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing London team. This is a client-facing role suited to a proactive Quantity Surveyor with consultancy experience who is confident managing projects across both pre and post contract stages.
This opportunity would suit a Quantity Surveyor with around 3+ years of experience, ideally working within a consultancy environment on complex commercial, residential or hospitality schemes. The company delivers high-profile projects in the UK and abroad and offers excellent long-term progression, including chartership support and exposure to major development programmes.
The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with Senior and Associate-level colleagues, supporting project delivery from feasibility through to final account. You'll be involved in preparing cost plans, managing procurement, assessing contractor payments, and providing commercial support throughout the full project lifecycle.
Quantity Surveyor – Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost plans, tender documentation and procurement strategies
Manage and monitor project budgets, variations and change control
Assess contractor and consultant payment applications
Support post-contract cost reporting and final account agreements
Attend client and design team meetings, offering commercial insight
Build strong client relationships and maintain high service standardsQuantity Surveyor – Candidate Requirements
Around 3+ years' experience in a consultancy or client-side role
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related RICS-accredited discipline
Working towards MRICS (or recently chartered)
Strong understanding of both pre and post contract stages
Experience working on large-scale commercial or residential projects
Confident communicator with a professional, client-facing approachIn Return
Salary of £50,000 – £60,000 (dependent on experience)
25 days annual leave + bank holidays
Hybrid working (office and home-based)
Full support towards APC or ongoing CPD
Exposure to major London developments and international workstreams
