Location: Greater Manchester (Office / Site / Hybrid)
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 DOE

Overview

Our client is a specialist contractor operating within the façade and building envelope sector, delivering complex and high-value packages on major construction projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Designer to support the delivery of façade projects across the North West.

This role will suit a technically strong individual with experience producing detailed design and construction information within a specialist subcontractor environment.

Key Responsibilities

Producing detailed façade design and construction drawings

*

Developing designs from tender stage through to construction and as-built

*

Coordinating with project managers, quantity surveyors, and site teams

*

Liaising with architects, main contractors, and consultants

*

Ensuring designs comply with specifications, building regulations, and industry standards

*

Managing design information, RFIs, and technical queries

*

Supporting value engineering and buildability reviews

*

Assisting with design programmes and deadlines across multiple projects

Requirements

*

Proven experience in a design role within construction

*

Experience in façades, cladding, curtain walling, or building envelope systems is highly desirable

*

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience advantageous)

*

Good understanding of UK building regulations and technical standards

*

Ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams

*

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
