About the Role

Sector: Civil Engineering / Infrastructure

Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project in the Didcot area. The role will work closely with the project, engineering and site teams to ensure works are delivered in accordance with specifications, quality standards and client requirements across a range of civil engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

* Implement and maintain the project Quality Management System

* Prepare, review and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)

* Ensure works comply with specifications, drawings, standards and contract requirements

* Carry out site inspections and audits across civils, structures and drainage works

* Monitor subcontractor quality performance and support corrective actions where required

* Review and manage quality documentation, records and handover packs

* Identify non-conformances and support investigation and close-out actions

* Support the engineering and site teams with technical and quality-related queries

* Promote a right-first-time culture and continuous improvement across site

* Liaise with clients, designers and third-party inspectors as required

Requirements

* Experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role within civil engineering or infrastructure

* Background in civils, structures, drainage or general infrastructure works

* Strong understanding of construction specifications, quality standards and QA/QC processes

* Experience producing and managing ITPs, NCRs and quality records

* Ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation

* Strong attention to detail and methodical approach

* Confident communicator able to work across site teams and stakeholders

* Relevant engineering or construction qualification preferred

* CSCS card required
