Salary: £70,000 – £75,000 per annum
Project: Long-term residential regeneration (15-year scheme)
The Opportunity
A prestigious residential developer based in North London is seeking an experienced Technical Coordinator to join the team on a landmark 15-year mixed-use residential scheme.
The successful candidate will initially work on Phase One, a £26m development comprising 52 high-quality residential units, before progressing through subsequent phases of this long-term project.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the technical delivery of a flagship development, working closely with internal teams, consultants, and contractors from pre-construction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage the technical design process from planning through to construction and handover
* Manage external consultants including architects, structural engineers, M&E engineers, and specialist designers
* Ensure all technical designs comply with planning conditions, building regulations, warranty provider requirements, and employer’s requirements
* Review, coordinate, and approve technical drawings, specifications, and design information
* Identify and manage technical risks, value engineering opportunities, and design efficiencies
* Support procurement and construction teams with technical input and issue resolution
* Manage design changes, RFIs, and ensure accurate document control throughout the project lifecycle
* Attend and lead design team meetings and liaise closely with site teams
* Assist in securing statutory approvals and discharging planning conditions
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Technical Coordinator or similar technical role within residential development
* Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning processes, and residential construction
* Experience working on medium to large-scale residential schemes
* Ability to manage multiple consultants and coordinate complex design information
* Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* A relevant construction, engineering, or architectural qualification is desirable
