Registered Building Inspector – Class 2+ (Contract)

Rate: £50–£65 per hour
Hours: Full time (part-time considered)

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Building Inspector (Class 2+) to support a busy Building Control service in Kent. This is a contract opportunity offering a competitive hourly rate, with flexibility for both full-time and part-time arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out site inspections across a range of domestic and non-domestic projects (RBI grade dependent)

* Assess plans and specifications for compliance with Building Regulations

* Provide clear, professional advice to clients, contractors, and stakeholders

* Ensure works comply with current legislation and technical standards

* Maintain accurate inspection records and reports

Requirements

* Registered Building Inspector Class 2 or above

* Proven experience working within Building Control

* Strong working knowledge of Building Regulations and associated legislation

* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

* Excellent communication and professional judgement
