Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in drylining and interior packages to join our commercial team in London. The role will involve the commercial management of drylining works across a range of projects including commercial fit-out, residential developments, hotels, and mixed-use schemes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs, subcontract accounts, valuations, variations, and final accounts, working closely with site teams, project managers, and clients to ensure commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial management of drylining and associated interior packages
Preparation and control of project budgets and cost plans
Measurement and valuation of drylining works (metal stud partitions, MF ceilings, shaft walls, fire protection, SFS, boarding)
Preparation and submission of interim valuations and applications for payment
Assessment, negotiation, and agreement of variations and change events
Management and agreement of subcontractor accounts
Procurement of materials and subcontract services
Monitoring costs against budgets and reporting on project performance
Preparation and agreement of final accounts
Supporting project teams with contractual and commercial advice
Ensuring compliance with contract conditions and company procedures

Mixed-use and large-scale interior packages
Requirements
Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the drylining/interiors sector
Strong understanding of drylining systems and specifications
Experience working with standard forms of contract (JCT preferred)
Ability to measure from drawings and specifications
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Good IT skills (Excel and commercial software)
Desirable
Experience working in London construction market
Experience on large-scale or high-value interior packages
Knowledge of fire stopping and SFS systems
MRICS or working towards professional accreditation
