Quantity Surveyor

Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – West London (6 months)
 
Salter Grange are currently recruiting for a site based Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor to support the team in preparing and managing variations on a live project. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity for a proactive professional who thrives in a site environment and enjoys working closely with subcontractors and project teams.
 
Role responsibilities:

Be based full time on site (with occasional visits to head office)
Identify works from the discovery schedule
Physically measure on site and prepare quantities, scoping documents, and assess programme impacts
Collate subcontractor costs 
Instruct subcontractors to proceed with approved works
Maintain accurate records of works undertaken for each variation including timesheets, materials, operativesRequirements:

Previous experience as an Assistant QS, Junior QS or Project QS in a site based role
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage variation records
Excellent communication skills for liaising with subcontractors and project stakeholders
