Site Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to work on a highways infrastructure scheme based in Colchester. This is a 6-month contract with a confirmed start date of 12th January, offering competitive rates for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out for highways works including drainage, kerbing, and road construction

*

Managing daily engineering activities on site

*

Producing and maintaining QA documentation, ITPs, and as-built records

*

Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programme

*

Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and survey teams

*

Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards at all times

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or civil engineering projects

*

Competent with GPS and Total Station

*

Strong understanding of highways specifications and procedures

*

Ability to work independently and manage setting out

*

Valid CSCS card (essential)

*

SMSTS and First Aid (advantageous but not essential)
