They are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic BIM Manager who is able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of digital best practice and BIM, along with having excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an enthusiasm for team and self-development.
Project work will vary and you will have experience with the delivery and management of projects across a range of sectors including life sciences, defence, education, commercial, residential, renewable energy, industrial, retail, healthcare and leisure within both public and private domains.
Your new role
As BIM Manager, you will be required to demonstrate leadership in delivery of virtual, design and construction technology with proven ability to engage and drive both learning and delivery across multidisciplinary teams.
Your responsibilities include:
- Fulfil the role of BIM Manager on projects that will range across the entire project/asset lifecycle – RIBA 0 to 7.
- Lead a combination of VDC offerings such as: clash detection, automated rule-based checking, visualisation (rendering, VR, AR), construction sequencing and costing – 4D & 5D BIM.
- Create and maintain the project’s BIM/Digital Execution Plan in response to the client’s requirements.
- Support our CDE Manager in configuring and maintaining the project’s Common Data Environment, implementing processes and procedures to enable reliable information exchanges between stakeholders.
- Establish and manage the projects BIM Collaboration Platform
- Implement digital technologies and other cutting-edge methodologies to ensure progress and continuous innovation in the delivery of digital projects.
- Plan and lead relevant kick off meetings/workshops to support the project delivery team implementing BIM.
- Provide Digital and BIM support across multi-disciplinary teams and the various business units.
- Capture lessons learned for future projects and implement improved workflows.
- Support the Digital Lead in the continuous improvement of current processes and procedures.
- Participate in the company’s BIM working group to develop a multidisciplinary digital workflow across the company.
- Provide advice and support to teams regarding emerging technologies that will enhance and streamline their individual delivery processes.
- Contribute to the wider digital initiatives within Tetra Tech strategic groups including data and AI development.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Experience in 3D modelling and analysis tools such as Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Infraworks, Tekla, etc.
- Practical experience delivering 4D/5D models using appropriate software.
- Experience with the UK BIM Framework & BS EN ISO 19650 suite of documents.
- Experience within an AEC practice/environment.
- Demonstrable understanding of project processes, workflows, and contractual obligations.
- Ability to author BIM/Digital Execution Plans.
- Experience developing and implementing Digital and BIM Standards.
- Management and delivery of client’s information requirements on construction projects.
- Experience with multi-disciplinary teams’ integration on projects.
- Experience managing and configuring a variety of CDE process tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Viewpoint, Asite, Morta, etc.
- A thorough understanding of the data, information management, BIM agendas within the UK and the standards and documents for implementation in engineering.
- Holds (or meet the criteria to hold) security clearance to MOD SC level.
