Mechanical Manager

The Client and Project Info:

My client is a leading M&E Contractor who are currently recruiting a Mechanical Manager to oversee a large residential scheme in North London. The project consists of a multi-unit housing development, requiring strong leadership and experience delivering mechanical packages on residential projects.

Mechanical Manager Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Project Director and taking full responsibility for all mechanical works on site.

*

Managing and coordinating mechanical installation works across the residential scheme.

*

Leading site teams, Mechanical Supervisors, and subcontractors.

*

Overseeing programme, quality, and health & safety performance.

*

Reviewing drawings, specifications, and ensuring works are delivered in line with design and client requirements.

*

Managing QA processes, inspections, and sign-offs.

*

Resolving technical and coordination issues with consultants and design teams.

*

Attending site, client, and progress meetings.

*

Driving productivity and ensuring the project is delivered to programme and budget.

*

Overseeing commissioning, testing, and handover of mechanical services.

Mechanical Manager Requirements:

*

SMSTS.

*

Mechanical trade or Engineering qualification.

*

Minimum 10 years’ experience working for Mechanical or M&E Contractors.

*

Proven experience managing mechanical works on residential schemes.

*

Strong knowledge of building services and residential regulations.

*

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
