Job Title: Floor Layer – Social Housing

Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable Floor Layer to join a leading social housing contractor operating across the Manchester Area . This role offers an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in flooring installations within occupied and void social housing properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Install a range of flooring types including vinyl, laminate, and safety flooring in social housing properties.
Carry out works in both occupied and vacant homes while minimising disruption to tenants.
Prepare sub-floors, including levelling and ensuring surfaces are ready for installation.
Maintain high standards of workmanship in line with health and safety regulations.
Work efficiently to meet job deadlines and productivity targets.
Liaise with site managers and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Floor Layer within residential or social housing environments.
Competent in fitting vinyl, laminate, and safety flooring.
Good knowledge of sub-floor preparation techniques.
Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
Full UK Driving Licence – essential.
CSCS card – preferred but not essential.
