One of the UK's leading multi disciplinary consultancies are currently seeking an experienced and driven Associate Building Surveyor to join their expanding London office, building on the continued success of their Building Surveying team.

My client are experiencing sustained growth, supported by a secure and varied pipeline of work across public buildings and estates, residential and housing, education, healthcare, commercial and insurance sectors. They are now looking to appoint a passionate Associate level Building Surveyor who is keen to progress their career within a close knit and collaborative team environment.

The Associate Building Surveyor Role

The successful Associate Building Surveyor will play a key role in the hands on delivery of building surveying and project work, leading schemes and coordinating in house multi disciplinary design services. You will also be heavily involved in client development, financial forecasting, team management and the continued growth of the Building Surveying team.

Duties of the Associate Building Surveyor to include:

· Hands on delivery of building surveying services with a strong bias towards project work
· Leading projects and coordinating internal multi disciplinary design teams
· Managing and developing key client relationships
· Supporting business development and work winning activity
· Financial forecasting and fee management
· Supervising, managing and mentoring junior members of the team
· Undertaking technical reviews to ensure quality and consistency of service delivery
· Contributing to the ongoing growth and strategic direction of the team

The Person?

The successful Associate Building Surveyor will be commercially aware, technically strong and confident operating at a senior level. The ideal candidate will fit the following description:

· Consultancy background, ideally with public sector project experience
· Commercially minded with a strong interest in business development
· Able to manage own workload and multiple projects simultaneously
· Proven experience managing and mentoring junior team members
· Confident client facing professional with strong communication skills
· Positive and proactive attitude
· Excellent all round technical building surveying knowledge
· Strong analytical ability with excellent written and verbal reporting skills
