Quantity Surveyor – Refurbishment & Fit Out Projects

Location: Central London | Hybrid Working

PSR is currently working with a well-established and growing construction business to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor. Our client operates across the refurbishment and retrofit market, delivering high-quality projects in sectors including commercial, residential, education, and leisure.

This contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering safe, sustainable, and well-managed schemes, with project values typically ranging from smaller works through to multi-million-pound contracts. With planned expansion and new workstreams launching over the coming year, this role presents an excellent opportunity to join the business at an exciting stage of its growth.

The Opportunity

This position would suit a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor who is looking to take ownership of projects and play a meaningful role in a growing organisation. Working closely with senior management and operational teams, you will be involved from early commercial stages through to final account, contributing to both project success and wider business objectives.

The role offers exposure to a fast-moving environment where initiative, collaboration, and commercial awareness are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the commercial performance of refurbishment projects from pre-contract through to completion

Procure and manage subcontract packages and supply chain relationships

Maintain and develop strong working relationships with clients and consultants

Collaborate closely with site and delivery teams to ensure projects run efficiently

Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and final accounts

Candidate Requirements

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline

Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role

Demonstrable experience delivering financially successful construction projects

Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills

Eligible to work in the UK without restriction

Strong understanding of refurbishment and construction environments

Comfortable using digital systems and learning new platforms

Professional and personable approach when dealing with clients and subcontractors

Package & Benefits

Salary in the region of £50,000 – £70,000, dependent on experience

Travel allowance

Hybrid working model (office-based with flexibility for home working 1 day a week)
