Senior / Principal Building Control Surveyor – Essex

Our client, a leader in the buildings sector, is currently seeking a motivated Senior / Principal Building Control Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Essex. This permanent role offers a hybrid working model with a mix of office, site, and home working arrangements to suit the needs of the projects.

Their projects are higher in value than many competitors which allows for a smaller, more interesting portfolio of work.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertaking plan checks submitted for Building Regulation approval
Conducting site visits, preparing detailed reports, and witnessing tests (full, valid driving licence required)
Attending client and design team meetings to provide professional advice regarding building control work
Familiarising with and utilising management systems, including the Quality Management system
Operating in alignment with the commercial requirements of projects, including costs and programme

Job Requirements:

Experienced and qualified Building Control professional with a commitment to excellence

Strong technical knowledge and a creative problem-solving mindset
Proactive approach to client relationships and delivering outstanding service
Accreditation from RICS, CABE, CIOB, or similar
