Junior Quantity Surveyor
Our client are a well established and leading Groundworks/Concrete Frame subcontractor and due to an increased work load, they're looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
They're based near Kingston Upon Thames in South West London and this will be an office based position with regular site visits in London & Surrounding Counties:
Requirements:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying.
* Full UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel to sites or between offices
* Strong IT skills
* Eagerness to learn and ability to follow instruction.
Experience:
* 1–3 years of experience in a quantity surveying role
* Cost planning and estimation techniques
* Bluebeam Cost software (Bonus)
* BIM Tools (Beneficial, not essential)
* Construction contracts (JCT, NEC, etc)
About the role:
* Measure and prepare quantity take-offs for groundworks and RC frame works.
* Record site progress, concrete pours, reinforcement deliveries, and groundworks activities.
* Support preparation of BoQs, interim valuations, and payment applications.
* Assist with subcontractor and supplier enquiries, comparisons, and procurement.
* Help administer subcontractor accounts, variations, and interim payments.
* Log and assist in pricing variations and design changes.
* Liaise with site teams to verify completed works against drawings and programmes.
* Maintain site records, photographs, and commercial documentation.
* Assist with cost reporting, CVRs, forecasts, and commercial data entry.
* Comply with contract procedures (JCT, NEC) and pursue professional development (RICS/CIOB).
